“Zaharias” record store opened its doors for the first time in 1989, at number 24, Ifestou Street. Zaharias Vrelianakis already had nearly 10 years of experience in the field of music. The decision to open a record store came as a natural consequence of the love he had for music and the medium itself, vinyl records.

Since then, his regular trips abroad, mostly in Europe but also all over the world, from the USA to Japan, keep the store full of hard-to-find records, making the store the absolute destination for  music lovers, both Greeks and from all over the world. Editions of records that were never released in Greece, but also recordings that people weren't aware they existed, especially in the pre-internet era, many times became known, because Zaharias brought them in Greece.

Two years later, in 1991, the store moved to the place it is still today, at 20 Ifestou st., inside the arcade. The store flourished and now spreads in 3 areas, in order to cover all musical genres, as well as the new formats CD , cassette tapes and DVD. One can find all kinds of music, Pop, rock, jazz, soul, disco, dance, electro, hip-hop, techno, house, Psychedelic rock, folk, Reggae, heavy metal, nostalgia, italo, spoken, theatrical, children's music, classical, dimotika (Greek folk) , laika, entehno, rebetika, etc. from all decades and all countries, in all formats, from 12'', 10'', 7'' vinyl records, to CDs and DVDs. The continuous imports from abroad (USA, Holland, Germany, England, France etc) but also from Greece, as well as the order in which the records are, make browsing the store an easy and, at the same time, exciting experience . In addition to the vinyl record stores on the ground floor and in the basement, there is also the specialized space for Cds, tapes and  DVDs,  at the end of the arcade on the ground floor.

All employees have knowledge and love for music, since they are collectors themselves.

The shop is open seven days a week, and it is the perfect destination since a person can combine sightseeing of the historic center and also look for the elusive record in his/her collection.

In addition to selling, the store also buys records.
